“I have no idea what you are trying to say here. I don’t know which particular liberal values you wish to celebrate. You speak as though the line in the sand is clearly demarcated. Ever since you moved to Britain you’ve become increasingly hostile to ethnic minorities. I think Canada is better off without you.”
It doesn’t surprise me that you don’t know what I’m talking about, or that you’re at a loss to name liberal values worth celebrating. And this has nothing to do with being hostile to ethnic minorities, and everything to do with being (wrongly) apologetic when we ought to be celebratory—for shame!
Even at the slightest mention that liberalism may be worth defending, out comes the mud. Accusing me of being hostile to ethnic minorities is one thing, but insulting my Canadianism—while i’m abroad?!
