It’s not unfortunate at all, it’s the right things to do. I’m tired of the apologetics that surround every aspect of the politics of multiculturalism. Liberal neutrality has reigned for long enough—and taken the gusto out of our representatives.
Why don’t we say, look we’re a liberal society—this is what is acceptable, and this is what isn’t. Here’s the line in the sand, don’t cross it. When cases arise where we can’t accomodate the demands of ethnic minorities, it’s not time to apologize, it’s time to celebrate liberal values.
